Register of Reportable Gifts

In accordance with the 91视频 Employee Code of Conduct, Operational Policy 054:

An employee who accepts a reportable gift from an associated person is to notify the Chief Executive Officer in accordance with subclause 4.5.3(c) of the Code of Conduct within ten days of accepting a gift.

A gift has the meaning given in regulation19AA of the Local Government (Administration) Regulations 1996.

A reportable gift means - 

  • a gift worth more than $50 but less than $300: or
  • a gift that is 1 of 2 or more gifts given to the local government employee by the same person within a period of 1 year that are in total worth more than $50 but less than $300.

An associated person means a person who - 

  • a person who is undertaking or seeking to undertake an activity involving a local government discretion; or
  • it is reasonable to believe, is intending to undertake an activity involving a local government discretion.

An activity involving a local government discretion means an activity-

  • that cannot be undertaken without an authorisation from the local government; or
  • by way of a commercial dealing with the local government.
