Stunning coastlines and local icons featured in the work of hopeful photographers to capture why people should “Stay and Play” in the Midwest.

The Stay and Play Photography Competition, in partnership with Nexus Airlines, invited photographers of all skill levels to enter photos that convey the essence of why families should holiday in Geraldton.

Forming part of the City’s latest Visit Geraldton tourism marketing campaign, selected photos will entice visitors from the northwest to spend more time here and enjoy the many experiences on offer.

91ÊÓƵ Mayor Jerry Clune thanked all who entered and congratulated the winners.

“We were overwhelmed by the number of submissions for the competition, and it was fascinating to see what aspects of our region the community felt would be most appealing to visitors,” he said.

“These images will now play a crucial role in promoting our tourism offerings and entice visitors to stay a little longer in our region.

“I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who entered their work and congratulate the prize winners for their terrific depictions of why Geraldton is such a desirable location for families.”
